Born and raised in Japan, dance was introduced early in my life. After moving to New York in 2004 at the age of 16, under a two year grant received from The Agency of Cultural Affairs of Japan, I completed dance education at the Ailey School, and received BFA from the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase in New York.
12 years of being a dance performing artist based on New York is the foundation of who I am now.
I originally began my GYROTONIC® journey through “yoga for dancers (what is now called the Gyrokinesis Method) Hillary Cartwright in NY in 2010, while suffering from minor chronic pain in my lower back for over years. Soon after I started taking GYROTONIC® classes and that left me "wonder" and I really wanted to know and learn what's this method all about. My body felt like I've never felt before, but freedom. I soon realized that the GYROTONIC® system was a great tool for injury prevention, physical therapy for my own body, provide me joy of movement again, and reminded me the feeling of "pain free". I knew I would want to continue with this work as far as I can go. For that reason, I decided to pursue a carrier as GYROTONIC® & GYROKINESIS® trainer with a wish of spreading this method to the world.
My teaching carrier as a GYROTONIC® & GYROKINESIS® trainer began early in 2012 in New York.
I am currently a certified GYROTONIC® Pre-Trainer under networking master trainer Billy Macagnone of Body Evolutions NYC, certified GYROTONIC® Level 2 trainer, and GYROKINESIS® Level 1 trainer as well as I am certified in special therapeutic applications, specialized equipments. (Please refer the information below)
I truly wish to share the happiness of movement with everyone. All of my sessions are designed to be your needs and it is very personalized. I have worked with clients range from the age of 8 to 88 that include professional dancers, training dancers, athletes, artists, woman with pregnancy, and people who are recovering from injuries of many kinds.
